What Tim Will Cover at the Sustainability Summit:
In this presentation, we will explore the sustainability and community-focused features of the new Omaha Central Library, which is targeted for LEED Gold certification. Attendees will gain an understanding of the LEED rating system and how the library addresses each factor, from the performance of the exterior envelope to the selection of sustainable materials. Key topics will include efficient daylighting strategies, high-performance mechanical systems, and how these elements contribute to the library’s role as a community-centered space that harmonizes sustainability with functionality.
