Jerrod Bley, Sustainability Manager at the University of Nebraska Medical Center
About Jerrod:
Jerrod is the Sustainability Manager for the University of Nebraska Medical Center – Nebraska Medicine (Med Center), a role he’s held since November 2021. He leads sustainability efforts focused on aligning climate action with the Med Center’s mission to create a healthier future for all.
Previously, Jerrod served as Clean Energy Program Director for the Adirondack North Country Association, where he advanced a local clean energy economy centered on equity and justice. In 2020, he was appointed to New York State’s Climate Justice Working Group, helping to guide the implementation of the Climate Leadership and Community Protection Act (CLCPA).
Earlier in his career, Jerrod worked at Montana State University, where he served as Interim Director, Renewable Energy Coordinator, and EH&S Educator at the MSU Weatherization Training Center. His career began with a Marine Corps Engineering unit, specializing in petroleum refuel systems.
Jerrod holds a BS in Environmental Studies and an MS in Science & Engineering Management, along with several solar certifications. He is an AEE Certified Energy Manager and has hands-on experience with solar PV, solar thermal, and wind energy projects.
