Blueberry Vodka Recipe
This recipe couldn’t be easier! Simply fresh blueberries and vodka, that’s it! We advise crushing half the blueberries before doing the infusion to get the flavors just right. Simply crush half the berries, add the uncrushed berries and then top with vodka.
Let this DIY blueberry vodka recipe sit for at least 48 hours to get the infusion just right, and to get the color correct. Then, strain the berries out. Store the vodka in a jar or swing-top bottle for up to 6 months. Try a Blueberry Pie Old Fashioned, too!
Tips and Tricks
- Straining – use a fine mesh strainer when straining the vodka. This will help make sure seeds and skin don’t stay in the infusion. Or, you can use a coffee filter.
- Flavors – you can do this with any berry and make infused alcohol easily with any type of fruit. Try our Strawberry Vodka or Lemon Vodka, too!
- Cocktails – use this blueberry vodka in many easy ways. Just have it with a splash of club soda for an easy vodka soda. It’s great in a Blueberry Vodka Lemonade Recipe (just blueberry vodka and lemonade). Or use a cocktail shaker and add some more blueberry flavor to our Blueberry Basil Lemonade drink, which is a great cocktail!
- Vodka – in this case, use your favorite vodka, not the cheap low shelf stuff!
Cheers!
